iriver iFP999 1GB Portable Music Player

This high function, pager sized portable music player stores music on solid state memory circuits rather than on a hard disk drive. This gives it the advantages of smaller size & longer playback from a single charge. However it does mean that its storage capacity (up to 1GB) is much less than hard drive based units (up to 60GB).

Pros

Extremely small (64 x 51 x 20 mm) and light (62g including battery)

Colour LCD display screen

Up to 40 hours of playback with built-in Li-ion rechargeable battery thanks to the absence of moving parts

Supports a wide range of file formats including MP3, WMA, ASF, OGG, BMP, TXT

Built-in MP3 encoder

Built-in FM radio

Can record directly into MP3 format from built-in microphone, built-in FM radio and from Line in socket

Connects to computer via USB 2.0 port for High-Speed data transfer

Supports Windows and MAC OS

Cons

Storage cant compare to hard disk based devices

Supplied case and armband holster are not stylish
